Albion Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Ross Connelly from fellow Lowland League side East Stirlingshire.
Connelly, 22, joins Sandy Clark’s team having made well over 100 appearances in the Lowland League for the Falkirk club – earning plaudits for his many man-of-the-match performances.
The stopper was part of Hamilton Accies’ under-19s age group that went on an impressive UEFA Youth League run back in 2018.
He then joined Derek Ure’s Shire team and cemented himself as first-choice goalkeeper.
Connelly of course worked under Sandy and George earlier on in this campaign when they were in charge of the Shire.
“I know it will be a good set-up here,” Connelly said. “It was a big attraction to work with these guys again (Sandy and George).
“I know the football will be positive and I am hoping for another positive season for myself and the club.”
Welcome to Albion Rovers, Ross!
