Defender James McGowan will join the club, after signing a pre-contract today.
The towering centre-half became a key player after joining on loan from Troon, and helped tighten up our defence as we finished in seventh place.
Coatbridge based, the 28-year-old adds steel to our defensive options and brings a wealth of experience – that proved so valuable during his loan spell.
Brian Reid was delighted to seal the move early:
“Gowser (McGowan) was one of my main targets and I am delighted it was an easy process. James wants to be here and we already know what he brings to our side. He’s aggressive and commanding – and he brings that core of experience that you need at this level.
“Our goal is to do our business early and not get left behind. We are in a good place at the moment and we are working away on players that may surprise a few.”
