Albion Rovers can confirm manager Brian Reid and assistant manager Scott MacKenzie have left the club after today’s 1-0 loss to Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic at the Reigart Stadium.

A club spokesperson said: “Albion Rovers FC can confirm that we have parted company with Manager Brian Reid and Assistant Manager Scott MacKenzie by mutual consent.

“On behalf of everyone at Albion Rovers FC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to Brian and Scott for all their efforts during their time with the Club, and wish them every success in the future.”

Brian joined the club during the Covid-19 pandemic back in 2020 and led the side to a seventh-placed finish in what was a shortened League Two campaign.

Last season, he led the club to an eighth-placed finish, ten points ahead of the relegation play-off spot.

Today’s result sees us drop to the bottom of League Two with six games remaining.

We would like to thank our supporters who turned again in strong numbers to back the team – we have six games now to ensure we avoid the relegation play-off, and we will need you now more than ever.
