Albion Rovers are delighted to announce that Liam Dolan has joined the club on loan from William Hill Championship side Partick Thistle for the first half of the 2026/2027 Lowland League West season – subject to SFA approval!
The 17-year-old defender came through the youth system at Firhill before becoming their youngest-ever player when he made his debut away to Livingston in the 24/25 SPFL Premiership Play-Offs and made his first start in the 25/26 KDM Evolution Trophy against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the round of 16!
Liam also has experience on the international stage, having been called up to represent Brian McLaughlin’s Scotland U17S against Norway and Poland in February 2026
Speaking on his latest loanee, Manager Steven Saunders said: “Liam is a left-sided defender who is highly regarded at Partick Thistle, whose next step is playing regular first team games. I spoke to Ian Baraclough and Craig Dargo at Partick Thistle, and they both said he needs to go play games in men’s football to take that next step in his career so hopefully we can give him that”
