The Thursday Club as part of the Rovers in the Community Trust are an enthusiastic group of fans gather who use their skills and love for the Rovers in a range of ways: tidying the stadium after matches, preparing it for upcoming games and carrying out maintenance tasks designed to keep our 100-year-old stadium in good shape. The skills deployed include: joinery, electrical work, groundwork on the pitch, landscaping, painting and general maintenance. The Thursday Club is an invaluable help to the football club. There is also the social and friendship side of the Thursday Club. After working from 9,30, the group settle down around 12 for a chat over a cuppa and a blether putting football and the world to rights: not always in that order!
If you are retired or have the occasional free Thursday morning why don’t you come along and join us at Cliftonhill Stadium. It’s a great way to help the Rovers by using the skills you have and also to enjoy company and have a chat and a laugh.
Hope to see you soon!
