An update from the Board of Directors: Robert Cameron takes on the role of interim chair.


Albion Rovers FC are pleased to confirm that Robert (Bobby) Cameron has taken on the role of interim chair with immediate effect.

Bobby is a well-known face around Cliftonhill and he often goes above and beyond in his role as director, or as club groundsman, where he has transformed our playing surface since taking on the role.

We’re sure everyone associated with the club will wish Bobby well as he takes on this new role, which will run up until this year’s Annual General Meeting.

Last Board Meeting:

The last board meeting took place on Monday, 8 January, at the Reigart Stadium.

Key areas included: Commercial summary and update, Income and financial update, Football first-team matters, Operations and matchday matters, Inter-club relations and AOB.

The current priorities of the BOD are to review the club’s financial situation, income and commercial revenue streams and to re-establish a working tri-party group with the Albion Rovers’ Supporters Trust and Albion Rovers Community Trust immediately.

We will review person-specific roles within the board as soon as possible, with an interim structure taking us up to the next Annual General Meeting. 

Planning and preparations are already well underway for next season, and manager Sandy Clark and his backroom team signing new deals in December has allowed them to ‘get on’ with the important business of not only concluding this season on a high, but also ensuring we are well ahead with out preparations for season 2024/25.
