It is with sadness that Albion Rovers FC learned recently of the death of lifelong supporter Matt Peat MBE.
Matt had been a fan of the club since the early years of the Second World War. He supported the team for over 80 years right up until last Saturday when he took his seat in the middle stand along with his son and grandson to cheer on his beloved Rovers.
Matt was a gentleman who will be missed by all who knew him, including his friends from the Rovers Memories Group.
All at the club sends condolences to Matt’s family at this sad time.
