Cammy Binnie joins Albion Rovers!

SIGNING NEWS

Highly-rated goalkeeper Cammy Binnie is the next player to sign on for Season 21/22!

The 23-year-old joins the club after leaving Stirling Albion – where he came through the Forthbank sides youth set-up.

6ft 2in, the stopper played fourteen times in SPFL League 2 last season, keeping six clean sheets in the process.

Cammy joins with the aim of making the goalkeeping position his to lose.

He brings experience to the position, having played over fifty times at League 2 level.

Cammy said:

“After speaking to the manager (Brian Reid) I was really impressed. It was a no brainer really.

“I want to play every week and progress, I feel like I can do that here. The side did really well after coming back and, from afar – it looked like a team that could challenge at the top end of the league.

“It helps knowing a good few of the boys already, and knowing Aldin (El-Zubaidi) will help at the back too.”

Brian said:

“It was a really important position to fill and I am delighted to get Cammy in the door, his attitude is impressive and he wants to do well for the club.

“He has the quality to play at this level at least and played most of the games last season for Stirling Albion. He ticks all the boxes.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been so far ahead with a squad in my career, so early into summer. We have been smart and done our business early.”
