Albion Rovers boss Brian Reid is looking forward to playing Elgin tomorrow as he predicts a tough game against The Black and Whites.

The cinch League 2 Saturday game is set up to be a cracker of a game with the Albion Boss looking to continue the teams impressive away form of late.

Coming into the weekend City sit in a healthy position as they are currently in the play-off places, however, just a close six points behind are the Rovers who are taking up 9th place on 23 points and are looking to bounce back from the 1-0 defeat at home to Forfar last week.

Looking ahead to the match Brian Reid says that any team can beat anyone in this league and that Albion Rovers have proved that they can do that in style with the last two games seeing eight goals, with no reply.

When speaking to ARFC media, the boss said: “It is always a good game up in Elgin and we are expecting another tough game against them as they have had a decent start to the season, up they’re at the top end of the table.

“We know that we can go up there and beat them, as everyone can beat anyone in this league.

“The last two away performances have been very very good and if we can get anywhere near that we are giving ourselves a good chance.

“As I always say to the players, it is a long way to go up there and come back with nothing. So we need to go up there and pick up the points and bring them back down the road. I know that we are capable of that as we have been to two tough away games recently.

“Last time we were up there, and if Elgin were honest with themselves, they know it was daylight robbery getting the three points as we were the far better team on the day, however, that is football sometimes.

“It is important that we take the chances when they come much like the last two away games as it has shown that we can be clinical.”

Brian Reid has also heaped praise on the Rovers front three after they have put in brilliant performances of late, he said: “The front three are obviously important in any team and my front three have been very good the last few games.

“We also need to remember that they are a young front three with Callum (Wilson) being the older statesman amongst them and he’s in his early 20’, Joe (Bevan) is 18 and Charlie (Reilly) has just turned 21.

“So they are all very young and have great great ability about them and will be a threat to any team.”
