The Albion Rovers BOD wish to announce with regret that they now have 7 players/staff who have tested positive for Covid-19. With additional players self-isolating, we could not field a matchday squad for our trip to Cowdenbeath.
Those who have tested positive are now self-isolating. Our primary concern is for the health, safety and well-being of all of our staff and we wish those affected a speedy recovery.
The club takes its obligations around covid protection measures seriously and has done since they were issued by the governing body. Since the situation came to light, the club have been in dialogue with Scottish Government, SFA and the SPFL and continue to comply with the SPFL in their investigation.
We will update the situation when more information becomes available. Please keep those affected in your thoughts.
