Albion Rovers can confirm Sean Fagan has left the club to join East Kilbride for an undisclosed fee, subject to clearance.
The 23-year-old defender, who joined the club back in 2018 and made his debut at Hampden against Queen’s Park back in the August of that year, made 151 appearances for Rovers, scoring six times.
Having made his 150th appearance earlier this month against Gretna 2008, Sean has been a mainstay in the team this campaign having suffered injury setbacks last term during our SPFL League Two season.
The centre-half was made club captain and has helped the team record the best defensive record in the Scottish Lowland Football League.
We wish Sean all the best in the future and thank him for his outstanding service to Albion Rovers.
Albion Rovers interim chairman, Bobby Cameron, said: “It is of course tough to see one of key players move on – but Sean Fagan has been a brilliant servant to the football club since joining back in 2018 and he has always carried himself as a true professional.
“Sean stuck by the club and we have stuck by him. He has been a fantastic player for us and has grown so much since his debut. In his role as captain this season, he has been an integral part of the group.
“He leaves with our best wishes and is without a doubt a player that Rovers’ supporters will remember as the perfect example of the type of player you want to attract to your football club.”
