The club will mark Remembrance Day before Rovers’ Lowland League fixture against Caledonian Braves on Saturday, November 11 (3pm KO).
There will be a short service before the match, which includes a bugler performing a rendition of the Last Post and Reveille.
Supporters of any club are kindly invited along to The Reigart Stadium to pay their respects.
Rovers will wear special home shirts with poppies that will then be auctioned off – with the club donating part of the monies raised to Poppyscotland.
Representatives of the club – including manager Sandy Clark and chairman Ian Benton – will be in attendance at the service, which will honour eight former players who were killed in action during World War I.
We will unveil new memorial plaques at the memorial garden area, with club chaplain David Shaw leading the service, which will start at 1.20pm.
After the service, attendees are invited to adjourn to the lounge for reflection, chat and some catering.
The club would like to thank supporter Brian Nugent for all his hard work in making this happen.
