Albion Rovers are delighted to confirm that goalkeeper Ross Connelly has extended his stay at The Reigart Stadium until the end of next season.
The 23-year-old stopper, who joined the club this summer after leaving East Stirlingshire, has helped the team produce the best defensive record in the Park’s Motor Group Lowland League, with Rovers’ goals against column only at 23 goals having played 24 times.
That is a quite remarkable statistic for such a tightly-contested league – and a big part of it is down to Ross’ excellent goalkeeping skills and his loud presence in and around his box.
And we’ll now have Ross for another campaign heading into the summer and manager Sandy Clark begins to shape his squad for next season.
We’ll catch up with Ross soon for an interview to discuss his new deal!
