Groundhopping is the passion of visiting as many football venues as possible, a tradition embraced by organisations like GroundhopUK, the driving force behind ScottishHop 2025. These dedicated fans crisscross the country, attending multiple matches in quick succession, with kick-off times adjusted to maximise attendanceβ¦..Last years average attendance was 425 !
The concept emerged in the late 1980s in England and has since flourished across Europe. Unlike traditional supporters, groundhoppers are football purists, drawn to the sport at all levelsβfrom top-tier stadiums to grassroots grounds, experiencing the game in its rawest form.
