Albion Rovers are delighted to reveal details of our newly-renovated Gordon Dishington Lounge.
Partnering up with popular Coatbridge pub and eatery Owen’s Bar over the summer months, we are now able to confirm that a bar installation has been completed.
The bar will open this Saturday afternoon and Tuesday night for our Park’s Motor Group Lowland League matches against Gala Fairydean Rovers and Broomhill respectively.
The bar will stock a range of options, with Tennent’s topping the bill on tap.
Caledonia Best and Magners are also available, alongside a range of spirits and canned soft drinks.
Cash and card payments will be available and we look forward to welcoming home and away fans to the lounge going forward.
A turnstile will be open from 1pm to 1.30pm to allow entry for season ticket holders and those paying at the gate.
This Saturday, the bar will open from 1pm until 2.45pm, opening again post-match until 6pm.
“We are pleased to now be in a position to open the refurbished Gordon Dishington Lounge,” club chairman Bobby Cameron said.
“This project has been completed swiftly thanks to a stellar effort from several volunteers and it is something the Board of Directors were keen to introduce quickly.
“The revenue generated from the bar will benefit the football club for years to come.
“The refurbishment brings a fresh look to the lounge and it will act as a great social space for home and away supporters.
“Finally, I have to personally thank Gerry O’Brien and all at Owen’s Bar for helping make this project a reality. Everyone at Albion Rovers is grateful to have such a supportive partner.”
