Albion Rovers are delighted to confirm that Conor Duffy has returned to the club for Season 25/26!
The defender, 23, rejoins the club after spending last season with Broomhill after departing The Reigart Stadium, making 16 appearances for the former Lowland side. During his previous spell, Conor made 31 appearances, making his competitive debut away to SPFL Championship side Raith Rovers in a League Cup group stage clash.
Speaking to club media after rejoining, Conor said, “I’m delighted and really excited to be back, I’ve got fond memories of my last spell here and hopefully it will be more of the same, One thing I pride myself on is being a Hard-Working player and keeping the ball out the net.”
Speaking about playing alongside Alan Reid, Conor had this to say: “Reidy is brilliant, but the fans will know better than anyone just how good he is at what he does and playing alongside him is just a bonus”
Finally speaking about playing in front of the Cliftonhill faithful again, Conor said, “It’s a big factor of coming back, during my first spell, especially in the bigger games like the Scottish Cup, the fans give you that extra boost and are truly the 12th man”
On behalf of everyone at the club, welcome back, Conor!
