Albion Rovers are delighted to confirm that defender Chris Neeson has joined the club for the upcoming campaign.
The 18-year-old centre-back joins having departed SPFL outfit Hamilton Accies this summer. Neeson spent last season out on loan at Darvel and Thorniewood United in the West of Scotland league system and was part of Accies’ famed youth group that played in the UEFA Youth League. He also made his first team debut for the now Broadwood-based side two seasons ago.
“It’s been brilliant so far,” Neeson said. “When the club came in for me, I felt that it would be a great opportunity. It’s been enjoyable so far – Sandy and George have been brilliant and I have fitted in straight away. It was a no-brainer. It’s an opportunity to play in the Lowland League.”
