Rovers were made to pay for their sloppiness in front of goal, as they lost out by a single goal at The Reigart Stadium.
Iain Anderson scored for the visitors just before the half-time whistle with a tidy finish, after an over the top ball caught out the defence.
Declan Byrne had a glorious chance to level the match with Rovers on top, when he was given the chance from 12 yards after a foul in the box – but blazed the penalty over the bar.
Rovers were direct and caused a threat but were made to pay for poor finishing. It was a performance full of character but lacked a cutting edge.
