Albion Rovers are delighted to confirm that club captain and Hall of Famer Alan Reid has signed on for Season 25/26!
The Cliftonhill legend, 36, rejoined the club during the 2023/2024 season after departing Cambuslang Rangers. Since returning to the club, Alan has gone on to make 60 appearances, adding to his 430 appearances made in his first spell.
Speaking to club media after signing on for next season, Alan said, “Buzzing to get it done. Looking forward to getting started.
The aim at the start of last season for myself was simply to remain injury-free, and I managed to do that and a little bit more! I managed to score a few goals and played regularly.
Speaking about working with the Management team again, Alan had this to say: Sandy was here when I first arrived at the club, and he is brilliant. Since returning to the club, I’ve loved working with him and George. They know when I need a break and how to manage my gametime when needed.
I’ve played most of my career here, and the fans and club have always been good to me. I’m delighted to be here again, and I hope I can do them justice.”
As Manager Sandy Clark and Assistant George Paterson continue their preparations for the upcoming season, updates will be provided via the club website and digital platforms in due course. We thank supporters for their patience during this time.
