Ryan Stevenson, David Cox, and Jamie McKernon have all joined the club.
The hugely experienced trio will provide balance and know-how to our talented young squad, as we prepare for our return to League 2 duty
Work is well underway with the team having returned to training this week, under a strict testing regime similar to other clubs in the division.
Manager Brian Reid is aiming to complete more signings in the near future and was delighted with the work done so far:
“It was brilliant to be back after a long period out. Having spoken to the team beforehand, it was clear everyone shared a great level of enthusiasm about getting back and playing the season to a finish.
“As expected, the first night was certainly tough and a bit rusty, but the players are in good shape and we are confident about going into what will be a demanding fixture period.
“We are in a position where we can and will improve the squad. The three guys announced tonight show our ambition. Having real experience at the core of the team was needed and will complement what we already have. I hope the support will take encouragement from the calibre of the new guys and back the team in what will be a crucial and demanding period.”
Unfortunately, due to work commitments, Grant Evans will now not be joining the club on loan from Pollok. Due to the current environment, Grant’s work situation has changed and we wish him well. Brian commented:
“He’s had to cancel his contract due to his work commitments and I can’t blame him at all because I understand his predicament. Boys need to earn money so they’ve taken on more shifts at work. Everybody is in a precarious position because nobody wants to lose their jobs, people need to make a living.
“It opens up the opportunity to bring in another player on loan which we will explore.”
Paul Gallacher and Mark Sideserf have both joined in training this week after signing on loan in January from Pollok, and they will be valuable defensive additions to the squad.
