Albion Rovers fans, coaches and board members arrived early on Saturday morning to help clear the park at Cliftonhill.
With the help of the Albion Rovers Community Facebook and Twitter accounts the Rovers encouraged enough people to help get the playing surface in good condition for a pitch inspection at 1.30pm.
The Rovers who have had two games postponed due to the weather in the last month were determined that their game against fellow promotion hunters Queens Park would be on. During Friday afternoon and evening the locals were asked to turn up early on Saturday morning to help remove the snow from the pitch. There was a chance that the ground underneath would be solid ice, but volunteers soon found that the playing surface was playable underneath once they removed all the snow.
