After a terrific victory at Stenhousemuir last weekend, on Saturday Rovers return to Cliftonhill, facing the manager-less Forfar Athletic.

Forfar, who midweek relieved long-term manager Dick Cambell of his duties, currently occupy eighth place in the league.

Although Saturday’s opposition are without a league victory in over three month, player/manager Darren Young still believes that facing Forfar will be another stern test for his side.

“We will need to be very wary of Forfar as they’ll probably be bursting a gut trying to prove that they are all deserving of a place in the team with a new manager coming. That said, we are looking for revenge after our defeat to them earlier this season.”

That aforementioned defeat to the Loons came in Rovers second Ladbrokes League One match of the season, and a game that Rovers supporters will be looking to erase from their memory, with Forfar taking the three points in a 4-0 thumping.

Available and once again in contention will be defender Kyle Turnbull, who last week missed out through suspension. Despite Turnbull’s return, whether striker John Gemmell and wide-man Josh Mullin will be fit for Saturday will not be known until nearer to kick-off.

With tomorrow’s game being the final home match in what has been an incredible year for the club, Young stated just how much he wants to end the year with another victory.

“We are hoping that 2015 can end on a high for us and the fans. It’s been an amazing year for everyone connected to the club. Winning the title for the first time in 26 years, as well as being only one of three managers in the clubs history to win a league title has been unbelievable.”

He added: “We have also had an amazing start to our season in League One, but to finish it all of with a win and three points at home would be the icing on the cake.”
