Following the Rovers’ convincing 4-0 victory over Stenhousemuir, we caught up with manager Darren Young.
“Firstly, we’re all absolutely delighted to get the three points on board. To score four goals in the process and get a clean sheet is also a huge bonus.
“I think it was a pretty even first-half and both teams had chances to open the scoring. Once we scored and got in front we thereafter took control and looked really good.”
Proving a constant menace to the Stenny defence throughout was double goalscoring here Steven Boyd, a player Young has been hugely impressed by throughout his time at the club so far.
“Steven has came in and done brilliant for us. He has got that wee bit extra to help cut open defences and create chances for us. He deserved his Man Of the Match award, but there was also great performances all over the park.
“As a team performance it was great to see us getting back to we way are used to playing, getting up close to the ball, limiting teams chances, getting a clean sheet, all working hard for each other, creating chances and also taking them.
