Cowdenbeath miss the suspended Declan Hughes and Craig Johnston against visitors Albion Rovers with Central Park player-manager Colin Nish also missing Jack Beaumont who has an injured foot.
Hughes will serve out the last of his two-game ban, while Johnston is beginning his two-match suspension after being sent off last time out.
Skipper John Armstrong is also struggling with a knock, with Nish saying: “We lost 7-1 to Dunfermline last weekend however we need to move on from that.
“We have played well against Raith Rovers and Stranraer at our place already this season and were unlucky to lose both of those games.
“If we can put in that level of performance against a hard working Albion Rovers side we can get the win that will kick start our season.”
The Coatbridge side have Mark Ferry, John Gemmell and Andy Barrowman available after missing out on the 4-0 defeat from Forfar last weekend.
Player-manager Darren Young also has Dutch defender Ricardo Talu in his squad after international clearance was received.
Young said: “The score-line last weekend was harsh however we have to accept that we have moved up a level and you get punished more severely.
“We also need to tighten up our defending at set pieces as we are losing too many goals from those situations.
“If we can win we would have two wins from three games following promotion and that is a pretty decent return.”
