THE MANAGER
Brian Reid’s thoughts:
“It’s a bit of a free hit, but that doesn’t change anything. The squad they have is well above this division, but believe we can take something from the match.
“The weekend’s performance was disappointing. We looked a little leggy and it’s hard to blame them when they haven’t had proper mini-preseason.
“The character we showed was great, earlier in the season I am not sure we would have come back from that. We were losing so many goals but we look much better defensively now.”
THE OPPOSITION
Queen’s Park come into the match in-form, after easily beating Brechin City away from home 2-0.
The Spiders asserted their dominance with goals from McHugh and Longridge before seeing the match out quite comfortably.
They sit at the top of the table, and have an extensive squad of talented players. The signing of Luca Connell on loan from Celtic is an indication of the genuine quality they have within their ranks.
PLAYERS VIEW
Sam Jamieson’s thoughts:
“I was delighted to score, I’ve been waiting for one. This game is one we believe we can do well in, they are a very good side but we have belief.
“We are at home and we need to take the game to them. The Cowdenbeath match being moved to Saturday is also helpful for our recovery afterwards.
